September 2020 Meeting Minutes

September 2020 Meeting Minutes


Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.

There were no minutes from the August meeting. George McCoy presented the treasurers report and was approved on a motion by Walt Kuzemchock and a second by Dave McNeel.

Match Reports
The Ground Hog match had 20 shooters and the Deer rifle match had 18 shooters.

Old Business
Marty Hrin sold his snow plow and will not be able to plow this year. Andy Shaffer volunteered to plow with the tractor and Randy Mitchell volunteered as his back up. Due to the high cost of lumber and a very busy work schedule, Don Odell will be rebuilding the dock next year. Members are reminded that  raffle tickets are available for the annual drawing. Members get 1 point for every 10 tickets that they sale.

New Business
The PH of the pond is at 6.5 which is good but would benefit from lime. After a discussion Charles Bungo made a motion to purchase 13 tons of lime from the Curwensville feed store at a cost of 455$. Andy shaffer seconded the motion. The lime will be applied to the fields after the Chukar Hunt. Andy Gibson made a motion to purchase Flex Seal to repair the canoe and the motion passed on a Breck Neeper second. Tom Hamilton will look for grates to replace the worn out grates in the woodburner. The 200 yard winter matches have been scheduled for January, February, March and April. There will be a work party at 10:00 on Thursday 9/14 to clear brush and trees on the 200 yard range.

Members are reminded that the $50.00 2020 club dues are due now. If unpaid by the April meeting, you are no longer a member.

February 2020 Meeting Minutes

February 2020 Meeting Minutes 


Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.

The January minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra  and a second by Bud Ellis. George McCoy presented the treasurers report and was approved on a motion by Steve Wagner and a second by Don Odell.

Match Reports
Tom Hamilton reported they had 15 shooters for the Winter Match, there was a lot of help and the match went like clockwork.
Old Business
Tom Hamilton reported that he thinks the logging has been completed and the road will be finished in the spring. The voice activators for the trap machine are $220 per station and we also will need a drop switch per station. The estimated cost would be approximately $2,500.00 and the members agredd to not purchase the upgrade for voice activation at this point. The fishing derby will be held on the 13th of June and we are asking all members to donate prizes for the kids. The Second Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance is being circulated in Clearfield County. All members are encouraged to sign up to protect our second amendment rights. Members were advised that Facebook has systematically been censoring pro-gun pages. James Johnston reported that he made the arrangements and the the porta-potty has been cleaned and scrubbed. All of the pop in the pop machine was outdated and has been removed and replaced.

New Business
Due to increased fees and service charges a recommendation was made to transfer our banking from Northwest Bank to CNB bank. On a motion by Charles Bungo it was decided that we would transfer our account to CNB Bank. Alan Lucas and Don Farbo have trimmed and cleaned up the fallen trees. Money for a new roof for the 200 yard range was approved. Tom Hamilton will be scheduling 2 work parties for general cleanup and repair in the near future. Don O’dell initiated a discussion about the club hosting black powder shoots. There was interest expressed but no action was taken until further discussions are held.

Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.

The November minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Tom Noble  and a second by Steve Wagner. George McCoy presented the treasurers report and was approved on a motion by Breck Neeper and a second by Ed Spencer.

Match Reports
Tom Hamilton reported they had 20 shooters for the Winter Match.

Old Business
 Carl Huss reported that they will resume logging when the ground freezes. Dave Shoff donated $1,000.00 to the club for the use of the landing and road for the logging of his property. Jeremy Smith suggested we send a thank you card to Dave Shoff. Randy Mitchell will bring a thank you card to the next meeting for member signatures. Tom questioned the status of the voice activator for the trap machine and George McCoy stated he will have Eric McCoy look into the voice activator.

New Business
During the recent ice storm we lost an apple tree to ice and Walt Kuzemchock will check to see if it can be salvaged. Jeremy Smith volunteered to get several trees to replace the lost and damaged trees. Andy Shaffer was re-appointed to the board of directors. All of the 2020 matches are now on the calendar. The Fishing Derby will be held on the 2nd Saturday of June. A petition in support of the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance will be circulated at the club. George McCoy will have Eric McCoy clean out the pop machine and throw out any outdated cans. James Johnston will make arrangements to have the Porta-Potty cleaned.

December 2019 Meeting Minutes

December 2019 Meeting Minutes


Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.

The November  minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Breck Neeper and a second by Anthony Moore. George McCoy presented the treasurers report and it was approved on a motion by Don Odell and a second by Steve Wagner.
Walt reported he had 21 shooters for the Deer Hunter Match..
Old Business
 Randy Mitchell presented a framed picture of Ed (Sugar Bear Fred Flintstone) Spencer to the club to be displayed in a prominent position. Wayne Hicks, Joel Dutra, Jerry Witherow, Walt Kuzemchock and Tom Hamilton cleaned the camp and hauled in fire wood at the recent work party. The January winter match will be held at 11:00 on January 11th the day of the next meeting.
New Business
Due to the recent high winds Don Farbo had to cut up several downed trees to open the road and gain entrance to the club grounds. Additional help could be used to clean up any additional downed trees and limbs. We have ¾ of a tank of fuel and should be good for the winter. Randy Mitchell reported he has renewed the Small Games of Chance License for the next year. He has also received the new  Dunham discount cards which are available for the members. The Lanager property beside the club has been sold to Alan Larson, Roger Larson and Far Hills LLC. as a 439 acre aggregate parcel for $370,000. A motion was made to have a blanket vote to repeat the same officers from the previous year, the motion passed. The officers for 2020 will be Tom Hamilton – president, Jeremy Smith – vice president, George McCoy – treasurer and Randy Mitchell – secretary. Steve Strouse won the member drawing.  Members are reminded that the $50.00 2020 club dues are due now. If unpaid by the April meeting, you are no longer a member.

Ed Spencer won the door prize and donated it back to the club.
