Results of May 9 400-Yard Deer Rifle Match

It was cold and very windy. Sometime during the second relay we thought we saw "Dorthy and Toto" flying by in an old farm house. Despite the weather, we shot 27 targets.

May 8, 2010 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on May 8th, 2010. The April minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Bob McClure and a second by Don O’Dell. The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Walt Kuzemchock and a second by Brian Allen.

Old Business
The 308 match had 13 shooters and was won by Joel Dutra, with Breck Neeper in second place and Tom Hamilton in third place.

Craig Poff of Iberdrola responded to Jeremy Smith and has added the “Good Neighbor” wording to the wind turbine contract and will include our survey of the property as a definition for the boundary lines. The board will meet on Sunday May 23rd at 11:00 to review the contract and present it for a vote to the members at the June meeting.

George McCoy has retrieved all of the wills from the safe deposit box and after a review by the officers, they will make recommendations for providing updated wills to the members.

Tom Noble reminded members that there will be a Steak Feed and Trap Shoot on June 6th at a cost of $25.00. Members should contact Tom Noble by June 1st at 590-9431 for reservations.

The combination for the lock on the gate will be changed after the June meeting.

New Business
On a Nick Prave motion and a Jim Johnston second a $300.00 donation will be made to help support the blind girl who works at Gant Daily who places our match results on their web site.

Randy Mitchell reported he has repaired the trap thrower which had a broken height adjustment control. A replacement part was available for $30.00 but he made the part with the help of Joe Mitchell.

Bud Thomas warned the members that a gas company requested permission to use dangerous frack water in a shallow gas well on Bilgers Rocks property. There request was denied.

Two new members were presented for admission to the club, Mike Straub and Mike Solida. They were approved for admission on a motion by Tom Hamilton and a second by Jim Johnston.

Members are reminded that there will be a work party on May 22nd starting at 8:00.

Carl Huss won the $15.00 fifty-fifty drawing.

Andy Shaffer made a motion to adjourn with a Marty Hrin second.
