Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Smith at 7:30 p.m. on August 14th, 2010

The July minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Bob McClure and a second by Don O’Dell. The treasurer’s report was not presented, the treasurer George McCoy was AWOL.

Old Business
The wills have been prepared and will be presented to the members after the meeting. Pat McNaul was contacted about the condition of the club house but has not been able to check the building as of yet. The key for the pop machine has not been changed to date. There was a second reading of the motion to make the club alcohol-free. Charles Bungo made a motion to change the by-laws to make the Anderson Creek property alcohol free at all times. Jim Johnson seconded the motion and the motion passed. Steve Beretsel questioned the reasons why we are considering going alcohol free, and a long discussion was held concerning the pros and cons, with Tom Noble noting the motion is just an erosion of another one of our freedoms. The questionnaire concerning our insurance has been completed by Randy and returned to the insurance company.

Match Reports
Match results are posted on the website. The Trap Shoot had a very light turnout and it was decided that Sunday Shoots are better than Saturday Shoots. The 400-yard match had 50 targets shot and the 22 match had 27 targets scored.

New Business
It was noted that club member Ed Spencer’s father passed away and a sympathy card was presented to be signed and sent to him. Due to the poor condition of the trap machine the next Trap Shoot has been cancelled. Several members and Jerry Bloom in particular are going to check on the cost of a new trap thrower. Mahaffey Lab sent a lab report on the water in the pond. The PH is 6.6. There are a lot of fish in the pond mainly, Bass, Perch, Panfish and fry. The ladder and a board have broken loose from the dock, and Steve Beretsel volunteered to make the repairs.

Steve Beretsel reported that the electric line which runs over the pond, and dead ends at the lower end of the property is a live line and presents a danger to the club. Tom Noble volunteered to contact United Electric to see if they will disconnect the line. Marty Hrin reported there will be a Youth Pheasant Hunt for any young hunters aged 12-16 on September 12-16.   Volunteers can contact Marty to help. Marty also has Pig Roast tickets available for the PWHU Pig Roast. Jim Johnston made a motion to donate $100.00 to the Chestnut Grove Church in the memory of one of our recently deceased founding fathers, John Morgan. Tom Hamilton seconded the motion and it passed.

Bob McClure suggested we prepare for this years gun drawing. Joel Dutra was appointed as the organizer for the drawing to be held in April after the Grice Gun Show. The motion passed on a Tom Noble second and Jeremy Smith will organize the fishing trip. Don O’Dell made a motion to purchase a triaxle load of lime for the pond. The motion passed on a Tom Noble second. Scott Brubaker was presented for admission as a new member in the club.
