Many thanks to members for getting the club in shape and filling the feeder

I want to thank Steve Strouse, Tom Noble and Carl Huss for coming out last Sunday and giving the club a good cleaning in preparation for our first rifle match of the 2013 season.  The first match is a 100-yard benchrest match that will start at 1 PM this coming Sunday.

I would like to encourage members to come out, fire a match, and help kick the season off.

Also, Shannon McKee and Bob McClure filled the feeder again last week, and Monday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, there was a large flock of turkeys at the feeder.

At  5 o'clock, a group of 6 six deer came out to take advantage of the free meal.  Thanks for getting the corn out to the club.

And hanks to all members who help make this club a success.

-Tom

Firearms Companies Restricting Sales to Government Agencies in Areas That Restrict Gun Rights

February 22, 2013

By Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr.

More than 50 firearm and firearm-related companies (Editor's Note: The number has reached 70) have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood WV,  has had a longstanding policy that states:

"The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms...If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction."

York Arms, located in Buxton ME, released a statement following new legislation in New York:

"Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York."

Quality Arms, located in Rigby ID, writes on their website, "elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States."

The site states: "Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment."

Bravo Company USA states:

"The people at Bravo Company USA and BCM support responsible private individuals having access to the same tools of civilian Law Enforcement to affect the same ends...As such Bravo Company's policy is that law enforcement officials and departments will be restricted to the same type of products available to responsible private individuals of that same city or state."

Randy Mitchell has researched shirts for the Man of the Year awards and will coordinate with the past winners who have not received a shirt.

Joel Dutra reported that there will be a Pro Gun Rights rally in Harrisburg on April 23rd in Harrisburg. Arrangements are being made for buses for transportation. It is very important that we have participation in this event in lieu of recent anti-gun initiatives.

Joel Dutra and Jeremy Smith are involved in talks with Penn State University in an attempt to reinstate the Rifle Program to NCAA division 1 status.  There will be Friends of the NRA banquets in Dubois, Ridgway and Frenchville in the coming months and participation is strongly suggested.

Roger Thomas won the door prize .

Ken Straub made a motion to adjourn and Scott Hemminger seconded the motion.

A thought on gun ban laws

A person steals guns, (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

Shoots and kills his own mother (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

Transports these guns loaded (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

Brings guns onto school property (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

Breaks into the school (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

Discharges the weapons within city limits (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

And

Murders 26 people (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW),

There are PEOPLE in this country who somehow think passing ANOTHER LAW banning guns would protect us from someone like this.

If you haven't noticed, people like this are NOT CONCERNED about breaking laws - they only care about fulfilling their own twisted agenda.

The only people that a gun ban law would impact are the LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, which will only serve to cripple the ability to protect ourselves.
