January 2020 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
The November minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Tom Noble and a second by Steve Wagner. George McCoy presented the treasurers report and was approved on a motion by Breck Neeper and a second by Ed Spencer.
Match Reports
Tom Hamilton reported they had 20 shooters for the Winter Match.
Old Business
Carl Huss reported that they will resume logging when the ground freezes. Dave Shoff donated $1,000.00 to the club for the use of the landing and road for the logging of his property. Jeremy Smith suggested we send a thank you card to Dave Shoff. Randy Mitchell will bring a thank you card to the next meeting for member signatures. Tom questioned the status of the voice activator for the trap machine and George McCoy stated he will have Eric McCoy look into the voice activator.
New Business
During the recent ice storm we lost an apple tree to ice and Walt Kuzemchock will check to see if it can be salvaged. Jeremy Smith volunteered to get several trees to replace the lost and damaged trees. Andy Shaffer was re-appointed to the board of directors. All of the 2020 matches are now on the calendar. The Fishing Derby will be held on the 2nd Saturday of June. A petition in support of the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance will be circulated at the club. George McCoy will have Eric McCoy clean out the pop machine and throw out any outdated cans. James Johnston will make arrangements to have the Porta-Potty cleaned.

Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.

Old Business
Randy Mitchell presented a framed picture of Ed (Sugar Bear Fred Flintstone) Spencer to the club to be displayed in a prominent position. Wayne Hicks, Joel Dutra, Jerry Witherow, Walt Kuzemchock and Tom Hamilton cleaned the camp and hauled in fire wood at the recent work party. The January winter match will be held at 11:00 on January 11th the day of the next meeting.
New Business
Due to the recent high winds Don Farbo had to cut up several downed trees to open the road and gain entrance to the club grounds. Additional help could be used to clean up any additional downed trees and limbs. We have ¾ of a tank of fuel and should be good for the winter. Randy Mitchell reported he has renewed the Small Games of Chance License for the next year. He has also received the new Dunham discount cards which are available for the members. The Lanager property beside the club has been sold to Alan Larson, Roger Larson and Far Hills LLC. as a 439 acre aggregate parcel for $370,000. A motion was made to have a blanket vote to repeat the same officers from the previous year, the motion passed. The officers for 2020 will be Tom Hamilton – president, Jeremy Smith – vice president, George McCoy – treasurer and Randy Mitchell – secretary. Steve Strouse won the member drawing. Members are reminded that the $50.00 2020 club dues are due now. If unpaid by the April meeting, you are no longer a member.

Old Business
Tom Hamilton presented a picture of the kids who were winners at the June 2019 fishing derby. Jeremy Smith presented a poster of the winners and participants in the Recent Chukar Challenge. Don Odell reported that the dock is “shot”. Don and his brother have volunteered to rebuild the dock at no cost to the club. Members are reminded that tickets are available for the December Member Drawing. The Winter Matches have been scheduled for the second Saturday of January, February, March and April. Walt Kuzemchock will score the targets, Tom Hamilton will run the matches and Jeff Kriner will handle the sign ups. Joel Dutra and Christina Cummings have tentatively volunteered to run targets with their 4 wheeler. Walt Kuzemchock and Tom Hamilton attended the recent CWD meeting held in Clearfield by the Game Commission. The Major points were t5hat it is illegal to transport any deer out of the CWD area (primarily any organs, brain matter, spinal tissue etc.... It is illegal to feed or set out salt/mineral blocks for deer. No doe urine is allowed to be used as an attractant for hunting. At present food plots are okay. Next year the antler restrictions will be lifted, there will be more doe tags issued and there will be an additional 2 week rifle hunting season after Christmas. It was agreed that control of deer farms should be returned to the Game Commission and not handled by the department of agriculture. There was a lengthy discussion about various CWD matters.New Business

The cost per shooter for the Chukar challenge is $50.00 for 4 birds for 20 minutes. Ed Spencer asked for and received permission to park his campers at the club. Raffle tickets for the member raffle and the regular raffle are now available. Members are reminded that they get a point for every 10 tickets that they sell. The regular prize drawing will be held at the January meeting and tickets are $5.00 each. Members are encouraged to get and sell tickets, this is our biggest source of income for the year.Due to technical difficulties there was no door prize.

Ed Zawolsky will be contacted about a price estimate for repairing the gate The yard has been repaired but there is still a piece on the siding which has not been completed Tom Hamilton will contact Chris Caldwell to remind him that the piece has to be finished. The water sample was not collected

Raffle tickets for the member raffle and the regular raffle are here. Regular raffle tickets will be distributed after the meeting. Member raffle tickets will be distributed at the October meeting. Members are reminded that they get a point for every 10 tickets that they sell. The tractor has been overheating, Andy flushed the radiator and it did not help the overheating. The radiator was taken to Seger Radiator repair and was high pressure washed and that seems to have fixed the overheating. Helping on the project were Andy Shaffer, Brian Brubaker and Jerry Witherow. There will be a Chukar Hunt the last Sunday of the month. The cost is $160.00 for 10 birds per 4 person team. A second round will cost $80. The regular prize drawing will be held at the January meeting and tickets are $5.00 each. Members are encouraged to get and sell tickets, this is our biggest source of income for the year. Steve Strouse is not going to run the IBR matches for the rest of the year and next January, February, March, and April. Tom Hamilton volunteered to help but will need help. A permanent volunteer is needed to run these matches. Please contact Tom Hamilton if interested.

Tom Hamilton tanked Joe Mitchell and Randy Mitchell for building and installing a new gate for the club. Chris Caldwell has completed the siding, soffit and fascia that were missing. The water sample was collected, delivered and received. Walt Kuzemchock reviewed the water sample and reported that the pond water is very good and will not require lime at this time. Don Odell will check to see what is needed to repair the dock. Don Farbo and Alan Lucas will be helping with the winter matches. The winter matches will be held the second Saturday of the month. The Shoff property is being logged and they will be hauling the logs out over our property. Please be aware when they are working if you plan to shoot on the 400 yard range. If the gate is open put the rope across the back road beyond the 400 yard targets to warn the loggers of an active range.

Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
Greg Yutzey filled in as temporary secretary until the secretary could arrive. Geroge McCoy presented the treasurers report and it was approved on a motion by Dave McNeel and a second by Breck Neeper. The July minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Ken Straub and a second by Steve Wagner. The 2018 accountant’s charges for the tax reports was $225.00.
Old Business
. Jeremy Smith plans to get the gate replaced in the next month. The yard has not been repaired and Tom Hamilton will call Chris Caldwell to remind him that the yard has to be repaired. Randy Mitchell reported he has been unable to contact Tom Lanager concerning the purchase of the neighboring land. Walt Kuzemchock will get a water sample to have the water sampled. Steve Wagner will get a quote for the wood needed to replace the floor of the dock.
New Business
Andy Shaffer reported he has planted the fields. He planted turnip, wheat, oats and black oil sunflower. The tractor has been overheating, and he flushed the radiator to see if that will eliminate the problem. Tom Hamilton reported that somebody shot the steel swing off of the hanger. PLEASE – IF YOU DAMAGE SOMETHING AT THE CLUB PLEASE REPORT IT TO AN OFFICER SO IT CAN BE REPAIRED. The trap machine switch was left on after somebody used it. Members are reminded to shut off the thrower and unplug all of the cords when you are done shooting. There is a lot of wood left in the grove and members are urged to cut it up for firewood and take it for their use. The member drawing will be held at the December meeting. We will be drawing for a Remington CDL Model seven in 260 Remington. The regular raffle will have a Tikka T3 Lite Cerakote 223 as 1st prize, a Henry Lever 22 as 2nd prize, a Ruger EC9 in 9mm as 3rd prize, $100 cash as 4th prize and an extra $50.00 prize for every ticket sold over 500 tickets. The regular drawing will be held at the January meeting. Tickets are $5.00 each or a special of 2 for $10.00. Anderson Creek window decals are available in orange, green or white and are $5.00 each. Match Report
Walt Kuzemchock reported the Ground Hog match 10 unlimited shooters and 2 factory shooters. The Deer Rifle match had 14 unlimited shooters and 4 Factory Class shooters. JOld Business
We have been unable to contact Tom Lanager concerning the purchase of the neighboring land. Jeremy Smith will begin the installation of the new gate. The siding, roof and soffit installation have been completed by Chris Caldwell. He will return to repair the holes he cut in the yard. He said the trusses were in good shape.New Business
Walt Kuzemchock volunteered to get water samples to have the water tested. Steve Wagner volunteered to replace the boards on the dock which are rotting. Ken Straub will paint the windows and doors that were replaced. Match Report
Walt Kuzemchock reported the Ground Hog match was rained out. The Deer Rifle match had 14 unlimited shooters and 4 Factory Class shooters. Jeff Gates won the unlimited class and Tom Hamilton won the Factory Class.
Old Business
The fishing derby was very successful and enjoyed excellent weather. There were 23 members helping and 53 kids registered to fish. We went through 181 hot dogs, 200 bags of chips and 24 cup cakes. The kids were very happy to win bicycles and many numerous other prizes. Many thanks went out to all of the volunteers who helped make the derby a success. A special thank you went out to Tom Hamilton for all of the work he put into organizing the derby.
New Business
Jeremy Smith was not present and there was no report on the new gate. After a discussion it was agreed that we would donate the old thrower to All Seasons Trap and Skeet for their use as replacement parts for their thrower. George McCoy volunteered to remove and deliver the thrower. The quotes for the new roof were turned over to the board of directors for their review and recommendation. The possible land acquisition was discussed and additional attempts to contact Tom Lanager will be made by the club secretary.
Members are reminded that the combination for the doors has been changed, contact a club officer for the combination.

There was no match report due to the absence of Jeff kriner.
Old Business
Many thanks went out to James Johnson for arranging the cleaning of the porta-potty. Jeff Kriner and Tom Hamilton rearranged the back room for the insulation to be installed. The insulation was installed and is fire proof, water proof and vermin proof. Tom Hamilton has 4 bicycles for the fishing derby. We still need fishing poles and any other prizes. Randy Mitchell reported he has 2 fishing poles to donate for the fishing derby.
New Business
Tom Hamilton submitted 2 bids he received for replacement of the shooting room and pavilion roof. The 1st is from Country Boys and is $2400 for the shooting room and $1400 for the pavilion and they will leave all of the scrap. The second was from Gary’s of Clearfield and was $1850 for the shooting room and $1150 for the pavilion and they will clean up all scrap. Gary’s also quoted $1350 to fish the siding. A motion was made to accept the Gary’s quote but was tabled pending insurance verification and satisfactory references. James Johnson will also solicit a 3rd quote from a contractor he is familiar with. The fishing derby will be held on June 8th from 10:00 until 1:00. Andy Shaffer made a motion to donate $500 for the prizes for the fishing derby and the motion passed on a Breck Neeper second. There will be a work party 6/1/19 to prepare for the fishing derby, general clean up, weed whacking around the pond and assembly of bicycles will be done.
Approval was given to fill the propane tank and buy a new coffeepot. Due to irreparable damage, Bryan Brubaker built replacement target holders for the 200 yard range. Jeff Kriner volunteered to paint the newly insulated shooting room walls and Dave McNeel will donate approximately 10-12 gallons of gray paint for the job. Jeremy Smith volunteered to prepare the trap machine for the 5/26/19 trap shoot /steak feed. Tom Noble asked all interested shooters to contact him by 5/21 so he can order sufficient steaks. With assistance from James Johnson the combination for the doors has been changed, contact a club officer for the combination.
Carl Huss, Jeff Gates and Christina Cummings were nominated and approved as new members for 2019. And bring the total membership back up to the allotted 50 members.

Jeremy Smith volunteered to prepare the trap machine for the 5/26/19 trap shoot /steak feed. Tom Noble asked all interested shooters to contact him by 5/21 so he can order sufficient steaks. With assistance from James Johnson the combination for the doors has been changed, contact a club officer for the combination.
Carl Huss, Jeff Gates and Christina Cummings were nominated and approved as new members for 2019. And bring the total membership back up to the allotted 50 members.

February 2019 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
The January minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Ken Straub. George McCoy presented the treasurer’s report and the report was passed on a motion Dave McKee and a second by Joe Mitchell.
Match Report

Old Business
The siding installation has been tabled until a future meeting. It was discussed that we hire somebody to finish the siding. The shooting room insulation has been paid for and we are waiting for the weather to break for the installation to take place. Unilec has us on the schedule for the outdoor light installation and will contact Randy Mitchell to coordinate the location and time. The annual children’s fishing derby has been scheduled for June the 8th, more details will follow. New members are reminded that they are responsible for prorated points from the date of their acceptance into the club. Dave Shoff has agreed to have his land timbered and they will be using the club property for the haul road.
New Business
Rob Holland representing Tom Lanager has contacted the club regarding the possible purchase of the land adjoining the club on the western boundary. The initial offer was to sell the land to the club at $1,500.00 per acre. The members agreed that we should continue to pursue the offer and we will need further discussion. A motion was made by Randy Mitchell to award 4 points to the members responsible for supplying food for the monthly meeting. The point distribution will be determined by the food committee members for that meeting and the points will be noted on the calendar so the treasurer can tabulate the points to the respective members point balance. The motion passed on a Walt Kuzemchock second.

Match Report
The first winter match will be January 12th withj registration starting at 9:30. The trap shoots are approved for the last Sunday in June July August and September.
Old Business
WE can prepay for the insulation. Any adjustment to the $1,800 cost will be adjusted after the project is finished. Steve Strouse brought the arc light but the bulb has been broken. A discussion was held about contacting Unilec for a light or purchasing a light from Walmart. The water sample has been received and the results are very good, with a PH of 6.9 and very low acidity and iron. Randy is still working on contacting Tom Lanager concerning the possible purchase of land adjoining the club, with no response.

Jeremy Smith introduced Gene Showers,. Jeremy and Gene requested use of the club on March 30 and 31 for a Chukar Challenge shooting event, which is a 1 dog 1 hunter Chukar hunt . Proceeds will be returned to the club. The request was approved on a motion by Marty Hrin and a Tom Noble second. We received an invitation to participate in the Grice’s Shooter Show. After a discussion we decided not to participate in the show this year. The food committee will be reorganized by Randy Mitchell, with plans to drop the members who do not participate. A discussion was held concerning the awarding of points for participation in supplying food at the meetings. Dave McNeel’s term as a director has expired and Jeremy Smith was voted in as a new Board Member.

The October minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Breck Neeper and a second by Dave McNeel. George McCoy presented the treasurer’s report and the report was passed on a Joel Dutra motion and a second by Steve Wagner.
Match Report
Walt Kuzemchock reported he had 21 unlimited shooters and 1 deer rifle in the Groundhog Match and 13 unlimted shooters and 1 factory for the deer hunter match. The Ground Hog Match Annual Award was presented to Bob Horton with a 3 match aggregate of 571 with 6 x’s.
Old Business
Alan Lucas and Don Farbo have cut firewood. If the temperature returns to 60 degrees the insulation can be sprayed in the back shooting room. If it does not warm up enough, we can prepay this year for next years insulation. Carl Huss was contacted and the dozer work has been completed from the recent logging. The road is blocked, so please stay off of the road until the road dries up. The water sample has been completed, the results will be emailed to Tom Hamilton. Members are reminded to not make any expenditures without prior approval of the club members, minor expenditures for gasoline etc.. are okay. Steve Strouse has not delivered the donated arc light to the club. Tom Lanager has been contacted by telephone and at his office concerning the possible purchase of land adjoining the club, with no response.
New Business
Arrangements will be made to get the fuel oil tank filled. Wee need a new thimble for the wood furnace in the back room. On a Tom Hamilton motion and a Ken Straub second $100.00 was approved for the purchase. Bud Ellis will purchase the thimble. Bryan Brubaker will turn the water off. After a discussion it was decided to leave the trap machine and cords in the trap house for the winter. Ken Straub will paint the new door in the back room, the paint supplies were previously approved.
Raffle tickets are available from George McCoy. Members are reminded taht this is our biggest fund raiser for the year.

Walt Kuzemchock reported he had 6 unlimited shooters and 1 deer rifle in the Groundhog Match. Steve Strouse has set the schedule for the winter matches which will be held from January through March, with warmups at 10:00 and the match starting at 11:00.
Old Business
The new lights in the shooting room have been installed by Jeff Kriner and Scott Brubaker. Don Farbo replaced the porch light. Andy Shaffer reported that the insulation estimate was $1,800.00 and will require the room be at least 60 degrees. It was decided that we should wait until spring and the warmer weather for the installation. It was also discussed that the door and window need replaced prior to the insulation being installed.

Dave McNeel made a motion to buy a new door and window for the shooting room and the motion passed on an Andy Shaffer second. Carl Huss was contacted and reported that the cutting of the wood is done but the dozer work has been stalled due to the wet weather. Ken Straub reported the painting is done . Andy Shaffer reported that the rototiller has been delivered and serviced. Andy Chimenti volunteered to get a water sample for testing. Steve Strouse said he will donate an arc light to the club. There will be a work party for cutting wood on 10/28/18. Alan Lucas volunteered to dispose of the florescent light fixtures. George McCoy reported that he has 2 outstanding 50$ checks from last years raffle, and several members volunteered to assist in contacting the recipients. Randy Mitchell suggested we contact Thomas Lanager about a possible purchase of the property fronting the club. After a discussion it was agreed that we should attempt to contact Mr. Lanager about a purchase.

The Anderson Creek Sportsmen's Club held its final groundhog match of the year.
