April 8th, 2017 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
The March minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Tom Noble and a second by Steve Wagner. The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Scott Brubaker and a second by Jeremy Smith.
Match Report
Steve Strouse reported the winter match had 12 shooters.
Old Business
Tom Hamilton reported that the date for the fishing derby has been set for June 10, 2017.
There will be a work party on 4/29/17 starting at 10:00. Repairs are needed for the pond drain, shed roof and the 100 yard range. We need 2 more sheets of metal for the shed roof. For the pond drain repair, Jeremy has the pipe, Mike Solida has the membrane and Marty Hrin will deliver 4 tons of 3B gravel.
New Business
After a review of the club by-laws it was determined that we must vote on any new members after they have served a 2 year probationary period in order for them to become full members of the club.
Tom Hamilton reported we have significant termite damage to the club. Tom secured 3 quotes and on a Steve Strouse motion and a Ken Straub second the members voted to accept the low bid of $750.00 from Primo Pest Control for extermination. On a Charlie Bungo motion and a Jeff Kriner second the club accepted the bid of $640 plus $100 contingency from GP Mitchell Contracting for repair of the damage to the floor of the club house.
Jeff Kriner made a motion to buy cardboard for target backers. On a Brian Brubaker second the motion carried to purchase cardboard at a cost not to exceed $400.
We will have openings for 7 new members this year and will have to fill 2 seats on the board for non-returning members.
________________ won the door prize.
James Johnston made a motion to adjourn and Dave McNeel seconded the motion.
Respectfully submitted by Randy Mitchell secretary.
