Meeting Minutes
The
meeting was opened with the announcement that we lost member Steve McClure due
to a motorcycle accident Friday night. Our thoughts and prayers are with his
family. There will be a service on September 12th at the Tri-county
Church in DuBois at 11:00 a.m.
The July minutes were
presented by Randy Mitchell and were approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a
second by Breck Neeper. There was no treasurer’s report due to the absence of
George McCoy.
Match Reports – There was no .22 match
and no report from Brian Allen. There
were 25 shooters in the high power match and 26 in the target for score match.
Club winners were Bob Huston, Tom Hamilton and Joel Dutra.
Old Business
Scott Brubaker has plans to build the new archery range in the first
row parallel to the driveway. He should be able to start next week. The clips
for targets on the 100 and 200 yard ranges need replaced. Extra clips and a
screwdriver are in the clubhouse and members are encouraged to replace the
clips as needed.
New Business
Members who have not picked up tickets for our
November raffle should contact George McCoy or Walt Kuzemchock for tickets.
Breck Neeper made a motion to buy rodent poison at the Curwensville Feed Store.
The motion passed on an Andy Shaffer second. There is a Youth Pheasant Hunt on
October 6th with a mandatory safety class to be held September 29th
. The hunt is sponsored by Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited and is for
youth from 12-16 years old, who has taken the hunter safety course. Contact
Marty Hrin for more information.
We will be having our annual Chukar Hunt on
September 30th at the club. The cost is $160.00 for a 4 person group
and includes a steak dinner. Please contact Jeremy Smith for more information
by September 25th to sign up.
Joel Dutra also has NRA tickets for sale,
please contact him for more information.
Roger Thomas made a motion to donate $50.00
to the Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited for their youth hunts. The
motion passed on a Tom Hamilton second.
Andy Shaffer made a motion to adjourn and Bob
McClure seconded the motion.
