July 10, 2010 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Smith at 7:30 p.m. on July 10th, 2010
The May minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Bob McClure. The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Bob McClure.
Old Business
The club has offically joined the Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited organization.
Marty Hrin reported to the members that there will be a PWHU pig roast on August 22 at a cost of $20.00. Sponsor packages are also available for $250.00.
Greg Yutzey has submitted the application and all of the information for the 501c7.
George McCoy will get a sample will for Randy Mitchell to use as a model for the new wills for the members. Randy Mitchell will prepare blank wills for the members to complete.
Jeremy has contacted Iberdrola and advised them that we will not be signing the Good Neighbor lease.
New Business
Rimfire had 15 shooters, 400yard had 40 targets and the IBS matches had 9 shooters.
Tom Noble reported that there will be a Steak Feed and Trap Shoot on 7/24/10. The cost is $25.00 for the match and steak dinner and there will be a reduced rate for youth shooters of $20.00.
A discussion was held concerning the condition of the club house and what steps should be taken in updating and repairing the building. Randy Mitchell will contact Pat McNaul and get his opinion on repairs because he has done previous repairs to the building.
Joel Dutra made a motion to send a registered letter to a past club member who was observed using the club facilities after he was removed as a member. Jeremy Smith volunteered to write a letter and notify him he is not to use the club facilities.
It was noted that the key for the pop machine is missing, Jim Johnson made a motion to have Pepsi change the lock on the pop machine and the motion passed on a Tom Hamilton second.
Members are reminded not to shoot at distances less than 400 yards on the 400 yard range for safety reasons.
Charles Bungo made a motion to change the by-laws to make the Anderson Creek property alcohol free at all times. Jim Johnson seconded the motion and the motion passed. The motion will require 2 more readings and then a final vote for inclusion in the by-laws.
As a courtesy, members who enter the club when the club has been reserved must ask the party reserving the club if their use of the club will interfere with the reservation.
Charles Leroy was accepted as a new member.
Tom Hamilton made a motion to adjourn and Eric McCoy seconded the motion.
