Anderson Creek Sportsmen
September 10th, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Andy Shaffer at 7:30 p.m.
The August Minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Tom Hamilton and Jeff Kriner . The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Carl Huss and a second by Marty Hrin.
Match Report
Walt Kuzemchock reported the Groundhog Match had 13 shooters and the Deer Rifle Match had 15 shooters. Walt noted that Tom Hamilton has won every match he has entered. Walt has enough targets to finish the year and has ordered a new format for targets for next year. Walt reported we have had additional damage to the crossmembers and posts on the 100 yard range. A lengthy discussion was held addressing methods we can use to identify who is causing the damage and the punishment for the perpetrators. It was noted that the bylaws do have a provision for expulsion of any member or members who are found to be damaging the club property. New signs have been placed on the ranges denoting permissible uses of the target holders.
Old Business
The purchase of the metal for the shed roof was discussed and the general consensus was to get additional prices in order to reduce the amount of money spent for the roof. Jimmy Johnston suggested that price end caps because we are not concerned about color and we do not need first class metal for the shed.
New Business
The small games of chance license has to be renewed before we can print the tickets for this years drawing. The secretary will arrange for a new license. We will have the meber drawing in December and the ticket price will be $20 per ticket. The regular club drawing will be in January. The Chukar hunt will be held September 25th and the price is $40.00 per shooter. Randy Mitchell asked to buy the old hay rake in lieu of scrapping it and the members agreed to a price of $50.00. Members were reminded that in order to vote in the upcoming presidential election they must be registered by October 11th.
Paul Gray won the door prize.
Joel Dutra made a motion to adjourn and Tom Noble seconded the motion.
Respectfully submitted by Randy Mitchell secretary.
