Kick Off for the 2015 Outdoor Bench Rest Matches
The Anderson Creek Sportsmens Club kicked off there 2015 outdoor bench rest matches today. Conditions were less than favorable with 20 mph winds and a blinding mirage. There were 17 shooters firing at a total of 34 targets.
The winners of the 400 yard score match were:
Unlimited Class: 1st and 2nd place - Jeff Gates of Altoona, 3rd place - Jamie Eazor of Reyenoldsville
Factory Varmint Class: Linda Solida of Dubois
Bi-Pod Class: Mike Solida of Dubois.
The next match is our famous "life size deer target" shot at 400 yards, with highest scoring portion of the target measuring 2" by 2". This match will be on May 10th, with warm up starting at noon. We encourage anyone with a deer rifle, that likes a challenge, to come out and have fun.
Thanks,
Tom

Members are reminded to use the practice target holders on the range. Several clips and crossboards were damaged recently by somebody hanging targets and clay pigeons incorrectly on the regular target holders. The Anderson Creek Watershed Association will be making a donation for our annual fishing derby for kids. The derby will be held June 20th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Jim Johnston has talked to the Township Supervisors about using their boom mower to mow around the pond prior to the fishing derby. Walt Kuzemchock reported that the 400 yard match has been moved from April 19th to April 26th.

Club Damage - Needs immediate repair!
Whoever drove over the caution tape and tore up the front yard needs to get this fixed now, while the yard is still soft. This kind of damage is unacceptable! There are rules for expulsion in our by-laws about causing damage to the club. Remember that the yard is very soft this time of year, as it always is, and to refrain from driving on the grass till after it drys up.
thanks,
hammy
