Message from Michael McClure, our late member Steve McClure's brother
I am Steve McClure's brother, Michael. I am the knife maker who donated a knife to the club in brother Steve's memory. In reading the club's May 11th meeting minutes, I see you have my name listed as Dave McClure. Just wanted to bring this to the club's attention.
Also, a thank you to the club for approving my nephew Kyle McClure to take over the club membership of brother Steve.
Regards,
Michael McClure

Important message for members and shooters
The benches at the A.R.A. and 400-yard ranges have been measured and string-
lined. They are not to be moved.
The A.R.A. is very strict about bench placement, and it takes considerable time to put them in line.
In the past we have had problems with members and their guest moving the benches and not putting them back in place. Some even have mixed up the bench numbers.
If you need to shoot prone, there is plenty of room between the benches to do so.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Small work party completes a lot of projects
We only had 6 people show up for the May 18 work party, but we got a lot done.
I want to thank Carl Huss, Tom Noble, Bud and Roger Thomas and Jeremy Smith and his kids for taking time to make our club better.
The work party installed a new door in the shooting room. It is a foot wider to make access to the benches easier.
In addition, the 50-yard benches were painted, a large amount of garbage disposed of, the trap machine serviced and installed, and the grass cut.
Thanks again to all who helped.

Jeff Gates, Allan Solida/Tom Hamilton, Mike Solida win 400-yard matches
Here are the results from today's 400-yard deer target match:
We can say without a doubt, that today's match had the worst shooting conditions we have encountered in a very long time! Very steady winds with 40 mph gusts, cloudy, cold and snow. Chairs were being blown over, a bag of hot dog buns flew off the food table, and we could not keep the coffee hot enough. Karma for shooting on "Mothers Day?"
Unlimited Class:
Factory Class:
Bi-Pod Class:

Members reminded of fishing derby and work party
Members are reminded that our fishing derby is scheduled for June 15th and we still need prizes -- small fishing rods, tackle boxes, small fishing vests or anything else that would make good prizes for the derby.
There will be sign-up sheets for the derby at the May meeting. The sheets will be up until the June meeting. We need hot dogs, small bags of chips, drinks, bait and volunteers.

There will be a work party on May 18th at 10 a.m to work on backstops and start getting the pond ready for the fishing derby.
I have an idea of adding to our website. Would members be interesting in having a sidebar or another portion of the blog for a classified section? Members could post on it. Let me know.
