Meeting Minutes

 Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
The February minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and were approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Ed Spencer. The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Roger Thomas and a second by Bob Huston.
Tom Hamilton presented a flag from his son who is stationed with the 1st Infantry Division in Afghanistan. The flag was flown over the Bagram Air Force Base and was sent as a thank you for the support received from the Anderson Creek Sportsmen Club.
Match Reports – There were 8 shooters in the 100 yard IBS match and Tom Hamilton took first in factory class. The full match schedules are available at www.andersoncreek.blogspot.com.

Old Business
The members drawing tickets are available from Walt Kuzemchock for $15.00 and the drawing will be for a T-Bolt Browning in 22 caliber.  The $30.00 dues are due before the April meeting, please send any dues to George McCoy. On a motion by Bob McClure and a second by Bob Huston the club donated $500 to Allen Solida to help defray expenses for his summer matches. He has received an appointment to West Point and will be leaving in July.  

New Business
Carl Huss, Tom Noble and Steve Strouse cleaned up the clubhouse for the upcoming shooting season. Roger and Bud Thomas trimmed the brush and limbs from the road into the club. Randy Mitchell presented information on the club joining the Civilian Marksmanship program. On a motion by Bud Thomas and a second by Roger Thomas the club voted to join the CMP.

Mike Solida volunteered to contact a surveyor in order to map out the 100 and 200 yard berms on the 400 yard range. Steve Beretsel was named Man of the Year for 2012. Mike Solida will have a graduation party for his son Allen on June 8th at the club. Club members are invited to attend.

A lengthy discussion was held concerning upcoming state and federal gun regulations.  Congressman Glenn Thompson, state representatives Tommy Sankey and Matt Gabler have been very vocal gun rights supporters. It is very important that our members and any gun owners support the various upcoming events for gun rights.

On April 7th from 11:00 to 1:00 there will be a local gun rights march in Clearfield sponsored by Grice Gun Shop. On April 23rd there will be a state gun rights gathering in Harrisburg. Contact Joel Dutra for information and to reserve a bus ride for the Harrisburg gathering.

Travis Spencer won the door prize .
