Fishing derby for kids set for Sat., July 28

After looking at the pond and seeing all the aquatic life, we are going ahead with the planning of the fishing derby. It will be open to any child, with an adult accompanying them.

I am asking the membership for help with the derby and with the food and prizes. Any member that can donate an inexpensive "kids fishing outfit" for prizes would be greatly appreciated. We also will need boxes of small bags of chips, juice boxes and water. The hot dogs and buns will be taken care of.

The derby will be held Saturday, July 28th, from 2 till 5 p.m.   It is a catch-an -release day of fishing of fun for kids. There will be prizes for the youngest boy and girl catching fish, the biggest fish, the heaviest fish and anything else we can think of. We are hoping this will introduce fishing to kids who may never have done it before

If you can help with the derby or want to donate items, please contact me anytime at 236-3828 or e-mail me at gunrunnerth@hotmail.com. There will be a sign up sheet for helping and donations in the club house.

Thank you,

Tom Hamilton
