Winners announced in May 15 400-yard match
This was without a doubt, the wettest match we have ever held. Winds were light, rain was heavy. Walt and I did plan ahead and wore raingear, but we still got soaked during target changes. We had a good turnout, with a few new faces. 37 targets were shot.
The unlimited class was the closest we have had, with a 3 way tie. All 3 shooters scored 23 out of a possible 25 points.
Here are the results from the 5/15/11 400 yard Deer Target Match:
Unlimited
3 way tie for first:
Jim Baum from Nicktown
Mike Soliday from DuBois (member)
Chuck Leroy from DuBois (member)
Factory Heavy Barrel
1. Linda Soliday from Dubois (wife of member)
2. Ron Bailey Sr. from Marstellar
3. Brian Baird
Deer Rifle
1. Bob Hustin from Dubois (member)
2. Tie:
3. Tom Hamilton (member)
Derek Hoyt from Luthersburg
Club note:
Linda Soliday has become a regular shooter at our matches for twoyears now. She is our first female winner, and if she keeps improving the way she has, we may have to put a bounty on her head to get more club marksmen to come out to the matches and compete!
Congratulations Linda and keep on shooting!
