Minutes of April 9 Meeting

Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Smith at 7:30 p.m. on April 9th, 2011

The March minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and were approved as read on a motion by Bob McClure and a second by Carl Huss. The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion by Shannon McKee and a second by Tom Noble.

Old Business
Carl Huss reported on the work party, the tractor shed door was repaired, the pear tree was cut down, the pit for the thrower was cleaned out and the front sidewalk was cleaned. Don O’Dell made a motion to buy a tri-axle load of 2a or modified to repair the driveway. The motion passed on a Joel Dutra second. James Johnston will check on delivery of the stone. Bob McClure made a motion to buy the filters, oil and supplies necessary to service the mowers and the golf cart for the upcoming year and the motion passed on a Ed Spencer second. It was reported that Dr. Charles Bungo’s brother has donated a wood stove for the shooting room of the clubhouse, arrangements are being made to get it delivered. George McCoy stated he will order the parts for the trap thrower. Randy Mitchell reported that the drawbar for the tractor has been found by Andy Shaffer in the field near the woods.

New Business
Members are reminded that volunteers are needed for the Youth Field Day on June 4th at Camp Mountain Run in Penfield. The first reading of the alcohol policy was made by Charles Bungo. Due to our recent reassessment our taxes will increase $213.63. The increase is due to the additional buildings which have been added. Randy Mitchell talked to the assessment office and we had not been assessed for the golf cart shed, the picnic pavilion, the 400 yard range pavilion and the 22 range building. Volunteers are needed to help run the 22 rifle matches due to James Johnston’s scheduled knee surgery. Gerald Bloom and James Peters have been removed from the club roster due to insufficient points. Members who have applicants on the waiting list are encouraged to check to see if they will be coming up for membership in the coming year.

Ed Spencer made a motion to adjourn and Randy Mitchell seconded the motion.

Respectfully submitted by Randy Mitchell secretary.
