Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Smith at 7:30 p.m. on Decemeber 11th, 2010

The November minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and Breck Neeper. The treasurer’s report was presented by the George McCoy and approved on a motion by Don O’Dell and Shannon McKee.

Old Business
Andy Shaffer reported that the tractor is at Knisely’s for repair. The water at the club has been drained for the winter. Randy reported the new assessment includes the 22 range pavilion, the golf cart shed, the picnic pavilion and the roof over the 400 yard range. The new 911 address sign was ordered by Randy from the GPB fire company. Greg Yutzey reported that we are not eligible for a 501c3 because too much of our income comes from non-members. We exceed the 30% non-member income rule. We will have to file federal taxes for the coming years. Bryan Brubaker won the Remington 700 in 6mm in the members only drawing.

New Business
Bill and Jane Russel approached the members representing the Open Range 4H club and requested to use the range for a 4H shooting program. After a discussion the general consensus was to help the 4H club with the use of our ranges and several members volunteered to help. The 4H club will show proof of insurance and it may be necessary to appoint an honorary membership to the leader of the club to operate within the by-laws for club use.

Randy will contact Frank Delarme for corn for the corn feeder after hunting season.

After a presentation by Joel Dutra, a motion by Tom Hamilton to donate $100.00 to the DuBois Rifle and Pistol Club was approved.

Bob McClure made a motion to maintain the current officers for next year by unanimous declaration, the motion passed on a Joel Dutra second.

The wood stove in the gun room has burned out and will need to be repaired. It was suggested we either patch it or replace it with a barrel stove kit.

Steve Strouse won the $15.00 50/50 drawing.

Bob McClure made a motion to adjourn and Walt Kuzemchock seconded the motion.
