February, 2010 Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Jeremy Smith at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th, 2010.
The January minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and approved on a motion by Bob McClure and a second by Dave McNell. The treasurer’s report was presented by George McCoy and approved on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Carl Huss.
Old Business
Jeremy Smith reported that the Grice Gun Shop show was very successful, Jeremy Smith, Dave Coudriet and Walt Kuzemchock manned our table at the show.
Randy Mitchell reported he purchased 16 bushels of corn from Frank Delarme, and Randy and Joe Mitchell have filled the corn feeder. The new tables have been purchased and are set up in the club house.
Craig Poff of Iberdrola Resources wants us to reconsider our vote on the upcoming windmill project. He has sent a different lease, which is a good neighbor lease, and does not request or require access to our property. A motion was passed on a motion by Joel Dutra and a second by Walt Kuzemchock to request that Craig Poff attend our next meeting and present his Good Neighbor Lease proposal to the members.
New Business
Don O’Dell made a motion to keep the Coca Cola machine despite their recent price increase. The motion passed on a Marty Hrin second.
After a discussion it was agreed that we will have a work party on April 24th and a work party on May 22nd. The work parties will start at 8:00 am. Walt Kuzemchock reported that the .308 match is scheduled for April 11th, and the IBS match is scheduled for February 20th.
Jim Johnston reported that the plaque winners for last years rimfire shoots were, Jack Igou, Tony Harper and Harp McNeel and reminded the members that the rimfire shoots are the 3rd Sunday of every month from April through September.
Randy Mitchell reported that the by-laws have been entered into the computer and are ready for revision to comply with the 503c requirements. John Armstrong requested permission to sponsor a long-range shooting seminar at the club. Permission was granted on a Marty Hrin motion and a Jim Johnston second.
The annual gun raffle drawing was held with the following winners:
