Grice shooters sale report

Just wanted members to know we handed out nearly 100 master copies of the match schedules at the shooters sale and talked to a lot of people.

Just mailed out 30+ packets of all our matches to other clubs and individuals.

I want to thank them for giving up a Saturday and Walt Kuzemchock on Sunday to promote our club.  I believe we have the best looking table, and club representatives, at the sale.

Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by Tom Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th, 2013

The December minutes were presented by Randy Mitchell and were approved on a motion by Ed Spencer and a second by Ken Straub. The treasurer’s report was presented by Mike Solida and approved on a motion by Roger Thomas and a second by Steve Strouse.

Match Reports – There are 33 matches scheduled for the new year. The full match schedules are available on the internet at www.andersoncreek.blogspot.com. This year we have A.R.A. sanctioned rimfire matches on the 4th Saturday of the month and I.B.S. matches with 3 classes on the 1st Sunday of the month. We also have trap shoots with steak feeds scheduled for 6/30, 7/28 and 8/31 and a Chukar hunt scheduled for 10/29.

Old Business

We still need volunteers to man the booth at the Grice’s sale on January 25th and 26th.

We will need to install 2 new members for 2013 and the next candidates are Steve Wagner and Mike Hickman.

New Business

The combinations for all of the locks have been changed. In order to get the new combination you can contact any officer of the club or come to a meeting. The propane tanks at the club are empty, any member who wants to get them filled will be reimbursed at the next meeting.

Our annual kid’s fishing derby will be held on June 15th and is open to any kids 12 years old and under. Members are encouraged to volunteer because we expect to have a large turn out this year. Members are asked to watch for prizes that they can buy at end of the year discounts and donate to the club. We will be giving away a grand prize in the name of past member Steve McClure.

Marty Hrin made a motion that we renew our membership in the Pa Wildlife Habitat Unlimited for $10.00 and the motion was approved. Andy Shaffer made a motion that we purchase corn for the feeders and Shannon McKee seconded the motion and volunteered to get the corn and deliver it to the club.

Mike Solida won the door prize.

Roger Thomas made a motion to adjourn and Ken Straub seconded the motion.

Rifle match directors set 2013 schedule

We held a match directors meeting today, 1/6/13, to go over dates, times and directors.  Here are the match dates for the 2013 season:

Rimfire - Jeremy Smith

This year our club is sanctioned by the A.R.A., American Rimfire Association.  All matches will be held on the 4th Saturday of the month, April through September, so there are no conflicting matches with other clubs in the state, and will start at 10:00 AM.  Gates will open at 8:00 AM.

Classes:

  Unlimited

  Sporter

  Squirrel

I.B.S. - Steve Strouse

This year the matches will be held on the 1st Sunday of the month, March through November, so there are no conflicting dates with other clubs.  Starting time is 1:00 PM, gates open at 11:00 AM.  There will 100 yard, 200 yard and Group matches.

Classes:

  Varmint for Score (Unlimited)

  Super Stock (Factory flat bottom, 40X, etc.)

  Factory

400-yard - Walt Kuzemchock

This year there will 3 different style of matches, with all matches held on Sundays.  Starting time is 1:00 PM, gates open at 11:00 AM.

  

Round target matches (300 yard IBS target) - These will be held on 4/21, 5/19, 6/16 and 7/21.  It will be a combined score of 2 targets, 10 shots.

     Factory

     Custom

     Bi-pod

   

Silhouette target matches - (B34R OC)  These will be held on 8/18, 9/22,10/20 and 11/17.  It will be a combined score of 4 targets, 20 shots.

Classes:

     This is a Bi-pod only match with a rear rest.

Deer target match - These will be held on 5/12, 6/9, 7/14, 8/11, 9/15 and 10/13.  It will be a combined score of 2 targets, 10 shots.

Classes:

     Deer rifle class

     Factory heavy barrel class

     Unlimited class

Trap Shoots - Jeremy Smith/Tom Noble.  They will be held on Sundays at 10:00 AM, Dates are 6/30, 7/28 and 8/25.

Chukar Hunt - Jeremy Smith.  It will be held on Sunday 9/29 at 10:00 AM.

Kid's Fishing Derby - Tom Hamilton.  It will be held on Saturday, 6/15 at 10:00 AM.
