There will be a work party on 4/29 to repair the shooting benches, service the lawnmowers and make plans for the repair of the backstop.

The lab tests of the pond have been received from Mahaffey Laboratory. The water quality is excellent with a pH of 6.5 , Alkalinity of 5 and sulfates of 31. The pond will need lime before winter.

Andy Shaffer is preparing to plant the fields and has warned us that fertilizer is going to be very expensive for planting this year.

Wild hog kill

This is a picture of a friend of ours, Alex Pringle, with a 575 lb wild hog he harvested this past weekend near Vero Beach, Florida.

Alex took the hog with a 45 ACP at 15 feet. He told me that the hog was coming straight at him when he shot it and when it went down, it had so much forward momentum it took him off his feet.
